Barcelona began their 2026-27 Champions League campaign in clinical fashion, dismantling Eredivisie side Feyenoord 5-1. Hansi Flick’s squad delivered a dominant performance to secure three points in their opening group stage fixture.
Raphinha opened the scoring just three minutes into the match before adding his second in the 57th minute. Karim Adeyemi, Lamine Yamal, and Gabriel Jesus also found the back of the net, while Sem Steijn scored a late consolation for the Dutch visitors.
The night belonged to Lamine Yamal, who etched his name into the history books. By scoring directly from a free-kick in the 77th minute, he became the youngest player to achieve this feat in the Champions League for a Liga club at 19 years and 58 days old. He surpassed the benchmarks set by Arda Guler and Sergio Aguero.
Furthermore, the goal brought Yamal's career Champions League goal involvements to 21, comprising 11 goals and 10 assists. This record for a teenager surpasses the previous best of 20 set by Kylian Mbappe. The victory complements Barcelona's flawless domestic form, as they currently sit top of the Liga table with four wins from four.
Barcelona now look toward their upcoming domestic challenge against Levante, where they aim to extend their winning streak. Feyenoord will return to Eredivisie action as they host PEC Zwolle to get their campaign back on track.
