Premier League side Ipswich Town have initiated discussions regarding a potential move for Celtic forward Daizen Maeda. The two clubs have held talks regarding the conditions of a transfer, although no formal bid has been tabled at this stage.
Should the Japanese international depart, the Scottish champions are already monitoring alternatives, including 24-year-old winger Haissem Hassan of Real Oviedo. Real Oviedo manager Julian Calero has hinted at a potential exit for the player as the club shifts its focus toward developing home-grown talent.
Elsewhere, Rangers are accelerating their squad rebuild this week. The club is expected to welcome Vanja Dragojevic while parting ways with Brazilian striker Danilo. They are also exploring the return of winger Vaclav Cerny and remain linked to Olwethu Makhanya, who reportedly failed to report for training at Philadelphia Union following international duty.
Other Scottish transfer activity includes Motherwell midfielder Elijah Just potentially joining Swansea City for their pre-season tour, while Portuguese outfit Casa Pia have enquired about Rangers winger Ross McCausland.
