Moroccan forward Hakim Ziyech, who previously made his mark in Europe playing for Ajax and Chelsea, is set for a new adventure in his career. The 33-year-old has opted to continue his professional journey in the Brazilian league.
Ziyech's most recent stint was with Wydad in his home country, where he moved last October. However, the partnership was short-lived as both parties decided against extending the deal after one season. During his time in Casablanca, he recorded nine goals and two assists in 16 appearances.
Having become a free agent, Ziyech did not remain without a club for long. Shortly after leaving Morocco, he traveled to Brazil. Reports confirm that he has agreed on terms with Botafogo, and an official announcement regarding the signing is expected in the near future.
