Getafe close to bringing back Bournemouth forward Enes Ünal

Turkish striker Enes Ünal is nearing a return to Spanish football. In the summer of 2024, the player completed a permanent move from Getafe to Bournemouth for 16.5 million euros following a loan stint.
However, the 29-year-old's time in England has been challenging. Just six months after the permanent deal, he suffered the second cruciate ligament injury of his career, which hindered his chances of reaching optimal fitness with the Cherries. During his time there, he made 58 appearances, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
Ünal has decided to end his English adventure and has personally asked the club's management to facilitate a transfer back to Getafe. He spent the most productive years of his career at the Spanish club, recording 36 goals and 10 assists in 109 appearances.
The clubs are currently discussing the transfer fee for the player, who has two years left on his contract. The player's explicit desire to return is significantly simplifying the negotiation process.
