Gabriel Milito: Chivas deserved more than a draw against Puebla
Chivas manager Gabriel Milito expressed frustration after his side's 1-1 draw, claiming they were the superior team.
Chivas head coach Gabriel Milito did not hide his frustration following the 1-1 draw against Puebla. The Argentine manager felt his team was the superior side for the majority of the match and insisted they should have returned to Guadalajara with all three points.
We did everything possible to win; we deserved to win, but unfortunately, we only got one point. We controlled the ball and attacked from everywhere. I consider this a loss of two points. Gabriel Milito
Milito also addressed why several of his players were not released for the Liga MX All-Star game. He emphasized that the priority was maintaining a complete squad for their league commitments due to a tight schedule and minor fitness issues affecting players like Richard Ledezma.
Meanwhile, Puebla coach Gerardo Espinoza praised the development of several players who emerged from the Chivas youth system. Having previously worked with the institution's academy, he expressed his satisfaction with the evolution of talents such as Armando González and Mateo Chávez, highlighting their growth as the future of the club.
