World Cup winner Frank Leboeuf has tipped Arsenal as the clear favourites to retain their Premier League title for the 2026-27 campaign. The former defender believes the clarity and stability within Mikel Arteta's setup give the Gunners a distinct advantage over their rivals.

The reason is clearly because the others, they don't know where they go. Arsenal have some assurances and they know that with the team they have right now they can be better than anybody else. Frank Leboeuf

Leboeuf highlighted the defensive partnership of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes as the cornerstone of Arsenal's championship credentials. While he acknowledged the arrival of defensive reinforcements, he maintains that the Frenchman remains irreplaceable at the heart of the team's backline. "When you have Gabriel Magalhaes and Saliba you are strong, you know that you are stronger than anybody else," he noted.

The Gunners have been busy in the transfer market, adding players such as Bruno Guimaraes, Christos Tzolis, and Illan Meslier to their squad. They continue to search for further attacking options, including links to Juventus' Kenan Yildiz. Arsenal's title defence officially begins on Friday, August 21, when they host newly promoted Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium.
