Barcelona have begun the second phase of their 2026/27 preparations, traveling to the United Kingdom for a training camp at the England national team's base, St George's Park. The squad, led by manager Hansi Flick, will remain in England until August 3.

Young Egyptian talent Hamza Abdelkarim is among the group traveling, continuing his integration with the first team after starting pre-season training. Flick stated he would delay final decisions on squad omissions for a few days to evaluate the younger prospects further.

The traveling party includes captain Marc-André ter Stegen and Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who joins despite his ongoing knee injury. New signing Karim Adeyemi is also on the trip following his first training sessions with the club last week.

Several stars who participated in the World Cup, including the Spanish core and semi-finalists Jules Koundé and Anthony Gordon, have been granted extra leave until mid-August. Raphinha is expected to join the camp this coming Wednesday.

Barcelona will play two friendlies in England: they face Birmingham City this Friday and will conclude the camp with a match against Preston North End on August 3.
