Barcelona forward Ferran Torres has decided on his future, expressing his agreement to join Paris Saint-Germain. The Spain international has now given the green light for the two clubs to begin formal negotiations in the coming days.
The move has been driven by the sporting project presented by PSG head coach Luis Enrique, who has promised the forward a central role in the squad. Discussions between the player and the French club have been ongoing for several weeks, with the decision finalized before the conclusion of Torres' summer holiday.
Barcelona, while initially keen to keep the player, may facilitate the move to secure the financial flexibility required to fund other targets, such as the potential acquisition of Julian Alvarez. PSG is actively rebuilding its forward line following the departure of Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus.
All parties are keen to finalize the agreement before Spanish players return to training next week, suggesting that negotiations will accelerate as soon as the official bid is submitted.
