FC Dallas mocks Chivas after Leagues Cup victory
FC Dallas defeated Chivas 1-0, leaving the Mexican side on the brink of elimination from the Leagues Cup and using a famous viral meme to troll them.

FC Dallas secured a 1-0 victory over Chivas in their Leagues Cup clash at PayPal Park in San Jose, California. The winning goal came from Logan Farrington, who capitalized on a defensive error during a counterattack to score the decisive goal.
Following the final whistle, FC Dallas took to social media to celebrate by posting a famous meme featuring a well-known Chivas fan known as "Gonzalo." The image, which shows the fan crying against a wall after a team loss, was used by the Texas club to mock the Guadalajara side.
This result leaves Chivas in a precarious position within the Leagues Cup, a tournament where they have consistently struggled to advance beyond the group stage. Despite dominating portions of the match, the team under manager Gabriel Milito failed to convert their chances, with Dallas goalkeeper Thomas Sirois making key saves against Ángel Sepúlveda, Armando González, and Richard Ledezma.
The match was also briefly interrupted in the final minutes due to offensive chants from the stands. Following this painful defeat, Chivas now face a difficult road ahead and must rely on a victory in their next fixture combined with specific results elsewhere to keep their hopes of advancing alive.
