Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has secured his third Premier League Golden Boot in just four seasons. Despite missing the final match of the campaign—a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa—the Norwegian forward finished the term with 27 goals in 35 league appearances.
This milestone sees Haaland join Premier League icons Alan Shearer and Harry Kane as a three-time winner of the award. Only Mohamed Salah and Thierry Henry have claimed the accolade more times, with four wins each to their names.
Haaland’s latest campaign saw him contribute 38 goals in 52 matches across all competitions. While City narrowly missed out on the league title to Arsenal, the talisman remained pivotal, scoring crucial winners against Liverpool and the Gunners during the final stretch of the season.
The season marks the end of Pep Guardiola’s tenure at the club. Haaland will now turn his focus to international duty with Norway for the World Cup before returning to lead a new era in Manchester, where Enzo Maresca is reportedly set to take over the managerial duties.
