The potential transfer of Aston Villa and Argentina national team goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to Juventus is currently at risk of collapsing. According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, the negotiation process between the two clubs has been completely suspended.
The primary reason for the hold-up is the stance of the English side, whose financial demands are viewed by the Bianconeri as significantly inflated. This discrepancy in valuation has forced both parties to step back from active discussions.
During the 2025/26 season, the 33-year-old shot-stopper made 32 appearances in the Premier League, conceding 39 goals and keeping 8 clean sheets. Across all competitions for the Birmingham-based club last term, Martínez played 44 matches and recorded a total of 14 clean sheets.
