Dusan Tadic addresses Ajax connection in first NEC interview

37-year-old midfielder and forward Dusan Tadic has officially joined NEC Nijmegen, penning a two-year deal with the Dutch club. The veteran is thrilled to be back in the Netherlands, having previously represented FC Groningen, FC Twente, and Ajax during his career.

In his first interview as an NEC player, Tadic acknowledged the significance of his past. "It is important to emphasise that I have a connection with my former clubs here, especially Ajax. Everyone knows what that club means to me. That connection will always remain, but now I am here and I am going to do my utmost for NEC. To perform, to win and to win trophies," he stated.

Tadic noted that he was immediately drawn to the project presented by NEC's management and head coach Dick Schreuder. He praised the coach’s personality and the team's style of play, which he described as "positive arrogance." Beyond his playing duties, Tadic also views his time at the club as a potential stepping stone into coaching, noting that he and the club share a similar football philosophy.
