Cleveland promotional posters for Brazil vs Egypt feature absent players
Promotional banners for the friendly match between Brazil and Egypt in Cleveland feature players who are not part of the national team squad currently in the United States.
In Cleveland, the host city for the final friendly match of the Brazilian national team before the World Cup, local organizers are promoting the upcoming game against Egypt. However, promotional banners scattered throughout the downtown area and around Huntington Field contain significant inaccuracies.
The advertisements feature strikers João Pedro and Estêvão, both of whom are not part of the squad currently in the United States. While the posters also correctly depict Egyptian players such as Mo Salah, El Shenawy, and Marmoush, as well as Brazil's Raphinha and Vini Jr., the inclusion of players not present with the team has drawn attention.
Beyond the promotional errors, interest in the match appears limited. Despite Cleveland's reputation as a strong sports city, tickets were still available across all sectors of the 65,000-seat arena as of Thursday. Due to the lack of a full house, the official sales platform has implemented dynamic pricing, leading to price drops for some sections.
The Brazilian team is scheduled to arrive in Cleveland on Friday evening, the day before the match, and will return to New Jersey immediately after the game. The Egyptian squad has been in the city since the beginning of the week.
