Chelsea and Manchester City have entered into intensive talks concerning the future of midfielder Enzo Fernandez. The Argentine joined the Blues in January 2023 from Benfica for a reported fee of 121 million.
Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, Fernandez has made 169 appearances and scored 31 goals. His trophy cabinet with the club includes the Club World Cup and the Conference League. On the international stage, the 2001-born midfielder notably won the 2022 World Cup and featured in the 2026 World Cup final with Argentina.
The two clubs are now discussing the terms of a potential move, though the situation remains subject to ongoing negotiations between the parties involved.
