The Brazilian national team has begun preparations for their final group stage match of the World Cup. On Wednesday, they will face Scotland in Miami, aiming not only to confirm their qualification for the knockout stage but also to secure first place in Group C.
For the coaching staff, finishing at the top of the group is considered crucial for logistical reasons. If Brazil wins and surpasses Morocco in goal difference, they will maintain their base camp in Morristown, where the team has been stationed since June 2nd and where the hotel and training facilities have been highly praised.
However, finishing second would force a logistical change. The first playoff match would take place in Monterrey, Mexico, requiring the squad to temporarily abandon their Morristown headquarters. The national team coordinator, Rodrigo Caetano, confirmed that while the team has contingency plans, their primary goal remains securing the first-place finish to stay in New Jersey.
