Bayern Munich has officially announced a special tribute for Harry Kane ahead of their German Cup fixture against Magdeburg. The event celebrates the English striker's achievement in winning the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
This marks the first opportunity for fans at the Allianz Arena to celebrate the prestigious individual award with the forward following the ceremony in London. The club also intends to honor the striker's achievement during this Saturday’s Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund.
Kane's victory is a significant milestone for the club, as he is the first Bayern player to win the Ballon d'Or in 45 years. He joins a historic list of Bayern legends who have received the award, including Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Franz Beckenbauer, and Gerd Müller.
In addition to the main accolade, Kane was honored with the Gerd Müller Trophy for being the top scorer of the 2025/26 season. Club president Herbert Hainer and CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen praised the striker's scoring prowess, leadership, and character since he joined from Tottenham in 2023.
The German Cup match against Magdeburg is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, with kick-off at 20:45 CET.
