Bayern Munich have shifted their stance regarding the future of center-back Kim Min-jae. According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the club no longer views a mandatory sale of the South Korean defender during this transfer window as a priority.

An exit for the 29-year-old is now only considered viable if an exceptionally favorable offer arrives that satisfies both the club and the player. Kim has also expressed his desire to remain with the Munich side.

Earlier this summer, the defender was linked with a potential move to Juventus. Reports suggested that the Italian club were considering a bid in the region of 40 million euros, with the player allegedly open to a return to Serie A.

Kim joined Bayern in the summer of 2023 from Napoli for 50 million euros. Since his arrival, he has made 77 appearances for the club, contributing four goals and two assists.

The 2025/26 campaign proved challenging for the defender in terms of playing time, as he logged just over 2,000 minutes across all competitions—his lowest figure in recent years.
