The management at Barcelona is considering selling Ferran Torres during the current transfer window. The club is not prioritizing a contract extension for the forward, despite his current deal running until the end of the 2026/27 season.

The primary driver behind this stance is a financial obligation to Manchester City. Under the terms of the player's previous transfer, signing a new contract would trigger a payment of approximately 8 million euros to the English club. For this reason, sporting director Deco is not currently exploring a renewal.

Barcelona aims to secure a transfer fee for the Spaniard now rather than risk losing him for free or facing the bonus payout in the future. During the 2025/26 campaign, the forward was highly productive, appearing in 49 matches across all competitions with 21 goals and three assists.

Reports suggest that the situation surrounding Torres is being closely monitored by several clubs, including PSG and Atletico Madrid.
