Arsenal have officially scrapped plans for a major expansion of the Emirates Stadium. While the club previously explored options to increase the capacity of the 60,704-seat venue, they have decided to focus on incremental improvements instead.
This decision stems from a desire to avoid relocating home matches during a lengthy construction phase. With the team thriving under Mikel Arteta, the club views maintaining their home atmosphere as a top priority.
The focus has now shifted to enhancing the matchday experience for supporters. Plans for next season include expanding safe standing areas in the North Bank. Additionally, the club is working on significant 5G connectivity upgrades, expected to be completed by the end of the current campaign, alongside continued development of premium and corporate hospitality offerings.
Club representatives have reassured supporters that there are no plans to reduce the number of general admission seats, despite the changes. Demand for tickets remains exceptionally high, with a multi-year waiting list for season tickets.
