Antonela Roccuzzo, the wife of Lionel Messi, has broken her silence following the intense criticism directed at the Argentina national team after their 1-0 loss to Spain in the 2026 World Cup final.
Roccuzzo threw her support behind the team on Instagram, resharing a post from media figure Connie Ansaldi which stated: "Proud to be Argentine. Argentina is exactly like a family; we may disagree and quarrel among ourselves, but if someone from outside comes and insults us, we will rip out their liver."
This marked her first explicit response to the fierce backlash that followed the final. While back in her hometown of Rosario, she also engaged with a post from Argentine singer Maria Becerra, commenting: "May Argentina, with its lofty potential, endure forever." These messages highlight her firm stance in supporting the national team despite the ongoing media controversy.
