Ange Postecoglou has been appointed as the new head coach of Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. The 60-year-old manager has signed a two-year contract with the club.

This appointment marks a return to management for Postecoglou, who had been out of work since October 2025. His previous role was at Nottingham Forest, where he was dismissed after just 39 days and eight winless matches. During this summer's World Cup, the Australian worked as a television pundit.

Postecoglou takes over from Jorge Jesus at the Saudi champions, inheriting a squad that features high-profile stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Felix, Sadio Mane, and Kingsley Coman.

Before his short spell at the City Ground, Postecoglou spent two seasons with Tottenham Hotspur. While he led the club to the 2024-25 Europa League title—their first trophy in 17 years—he was eventually sacked following a 17th-place Premier League finish.

His extensive career includes managing the Australian national team at the 2014 World Cup, as well as league-winning stints with Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan and Celtic in Scotland.
