Saudi club Al-Nassr is nearing the signing of Mallorca midfielder Samu Costa. The Saudi leadership has been working actively to bolster their midfield and has made significant progress in negotiations, with the player having already given the green light to the move.
A major victory for Al-Nassr was convincing the player, who previously held a concrete proposal from German side RB Leipzig. Ultimately, the opportunity to join the ambitious project in Saudi Arabia proved more appealing to the Portuguese midfielder than continuing his career in the Bundesliga.
Last season, Costa was a standout performer for his club, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists across 34 La Liga appearances. Despite his efforts, the team suffered relegation. Furthermore, Costa represented his national team at the 2026 World Cup, where he featured for 20 minutes against Colombia.
Costa remains under contract with Mallorca until the summer of 2028, with his current market value estimated at 15 million euros. The clubs are now expected to finalize the remaining details of the transfer.
