Adel Taarabt announces retirement from professional football
Former AC Milan and Genoa midfielder Adel Taarabt has officially retired, expressing gratitude to all his former clubs and fans.

Adel Taarabt, the former AC Milan and Genoa midfielder, has officially announced his retirement from professional football. In a heartfelt statement, the player extended his gratitude to every club he represented, as well as the staff, teammates, and fans who supported him throughout his career.
I just want to say thank you to every team I played for, every manager, every team-mate, every member of staff and, of course, every fan who showed me love along the way. To all the teams I had the honour of representing, from Lens to Sharjah, thank you for being part of my story.
Taarabt also highlighted his international career with Morocco, where he earned 30 caps and scored 4 goals. Reflecting on his time with the national team, he emphasized the emotional significance of representing his country.
Representing Morocco will always have a special place in my heart. There were good moments, difficult moments, mistakes, fantastic nights... everything. But this was my journey and I would not change it for anything in the world.
