AC Milan nearly squandered a comfortable lead in their Serie A Round 7 clash against Atalanta. Ruben Amorim's side started the match strongly and held a 3-0 lead by the 58th minute, thanks to goals from Gonçalo Ramos, Adrien Rabiot, and Mario Gila.
The hosts were in control for most of the contest, with a disallowed Christian Pulisic goal further highlighting their dominance. However, Maurizio Sarri's side found their rhythm in the second half, turning the match into a tense affair in the closing stages.
After Gianluca Gaetano pulled one back in the 66th minute and Raoul Bellanova made it 3-2 in the 81st, Atalanta launched a frantic final assault. Despite the pressure, Milan held firm to secure all three points, even though Gonçalo Ramos had a chance to seal the match in stoppage time.
With this result, Milan climbed to 4th place in the standings with 15 points. Atalanta remains in mid-table with 9 points after a difficult result.
