The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzan, has expressed his firm belief that the 2030 World Cup final must be hosted on Spanish soil. Despite strong interest from Morocco, which plans to construct a massive 115,000-capacity stadium in Casablanca, the Spanish federation insists that the tournament's showpiece match should take place at one of the country's two most iconic venues.

Louzan highlighted Spain's historical role as the primary architect of the bid, noting that Spain and Portugal initiated the project before Morocco joined later. He emphasized that Spain holds a 55 percent stake in the tournament's organizational structure, which the federation believes provides both a moral and logistical justification for hosting the final.
Regarding the choice between the two Spanish giants, Louzan acknowledged the unique strengths of both. While the Santiago Bernabeu is fully operational and world-class, the scale of the ongoing renovation at the Camp Nou is significant. The RFEF president pointed out that the 25,000-seat difference in capacity in favor of the Barcelona stadium is an important detail that FIFA must consider alongside other infrastructure assessments.
Ultimately, the decision rests with FIFA, but the Spanish federation remains committed to defending its interests and ensuring that the final remains within the country that spearheaded the original 2030 bid.
