Who is at risk of suspension for Brazil vs Norway?

The 2026 World Cup Round of 16 clash between Brazil and Norway carries a significant disciplinary risk for three key players. If these individuals receive a yellow card during Sunday's match, they will be automatically suspended for a potential quarter-final appearance.
For Brazil, the players in the spotlight are midfielder Casemiro and defender Danilo. Both received their cautions during the team's 2-1 victory over Japan in the previous knockout round.
Norway faces a similar situation with forward Antonio Nusa. The young attacker, who was named man of the match in the 2-1 win against Ivory Coast, is the only Norwegian player currently sitting on a yellow card from the knockout stages.
Under the 2026 World Cup regulations, all yellow cards from the group stage were wiped clean. However, players who receive two yellow cards during different knockout matches face an automatic suspension. These accumulated cards will only be reset again following the conclusion of the quarter-finals.
