Vitinho joins Santa Clara after bidding farewell to Cruzeiro

Midfielder Vitinho has been officially announced as a new player for the Portuguese club Santa Clara. The move was confirmed on Monday, shortly after the player bid farewell to Cruzeiro via his social media channels.

In his goodbye message, the player expressed gratitude for his time at the club, highlighting his professional debut goal and the experience of playing at a packed Mineirão stadium. Vitinho has committed to his new side with a contract extending until June 2029.

At Santa Clara, the midfielder will reunite with his former teammate Fernando.

Vitinho arrived at Cruzeiro's youth academy in 2023 following a promising start at Ponte Preta. He was promoted to the first team in 2024, making 24 appearances, before spending time on loan at Goiás and Náutico. His move to Portugal marks a permanent transfer.
