Vitinha hits back at 'whitewash' claims after PSG edge past Marseille

In the fifth round of Ligue 1, PSG secured a tight 2-1 victory over their fierce rivals Marseille. Despite widespread pre-match predictions of a dominant thrashing, the Parisian side had to fight hard for all three points in the latest edition of Le Classique.
Following the match, Vitinha addressed the media to reject suggestions that his team had underperformed. The Portuguese midfielder insisted that the difficulty of the fixture was anticipated within the squad.

Despite the slender margin, Vitinha emphasized that PSG controlled large portions of the game and created enough chances to have extended their lead earlier. He credited Marseille for their performance but maintained that the victory was entirely deserved.
With club football now on hold, Vitinha will turn his focus to international duty. He is set to represent Portugal in the upcoming UEFA Nations League, with matches scheduled against Wales, Norway, and Denmark.
