UPL confirms dates for promotion-relegation playoffs
The schedule for the decisive matches determining places in the Ukrainian top flight has been announced.
The Ukrainian Premier League has officially finalized the schedule for the promotion-relegation playoffs that will decide the final composition of the elite division for the next season. According to the regulations, the first legs will be held on June 5 at the stadiums of the UPL clubs, while the return matches are scheduled for June 9 at the venues of the First League teams.
The lineup for the UPL representatives in the playoffs was adjusted after Lviv-based Rukh relinquished their right to compete in favor of Oleksandriya. Consequently, Volodymyr Sharan's team is preparing to face the third-placed side from the second tier, while Kudrivka is set to challenge the fourth-placed team.
The final participants from the First League are yet to be fully confirmed as one round remains in the regular season. Agrobiznes has already secured fourth place, while Chornomorets and Livyi Bereh are still vying for higher spots ahead of their final fixtures against Metalist and Inhulets respectively.
