London club Tottenham have reached an agreement in principle with 26-year-old Newcastle and Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali regarding personal terms. According to insider Nicolò Schira, the club has offered the player a contract running until 2032.
The proposed financial terms include an annual salary of approximately 12 million euros, which would set a new record for the highest wages at the London club. Roberto De Zerbi, the Tottenham head coach, is reported to have played a pivotal role in the negotiations by convincing the player of the club's long-term vision.
With personal terms settled, Tottenham must now enter negotiations with Newcastle over a transfer fee. The English club is believed to value their midfielder at 120 million euros, making the potential deal a significant financial undertaking for the London side.
