Tiago Gouveia linked with move from Benfica to Atlas

Portuguese forward Tiago Gouveia is currently in the spotlight regarding a potential move to Mexican side Atlas. The 25-year-old is looking to bolster his career prospects ahead of the upcoming campaign as he seeks more consistent playing opportunities.

According to reports from the Portuguese newspaper Record, Gouveia is no longer in Benfica's plans for the next season. The forward, who has previously spent time on loan at Estoril and Nice, is reportedly close to finalizing an agreement to join the Guadalajara-based club.

Sources indicate that a deal is nearly complete, and it would not be surprising if the player misses Benfica's upcoming pre-season preparations to finalize his exit. Having struggled to secure a starting role in Lisbon, Gouveia views this move as the best path to regain regular minutes on the pitch.
