In the eighth round of the Ukrainian Premier League, Dynamo Kyiv secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Karpaty Lviv. Despite being favored to win, the capital club faced a stern challenge from the visitors throughout the match.
Following the final whistle, Dynamo defender Taras Mykhavko praised the resilience of the opposition. He noted that the team had to strike a delicate balance between playing with intensity and remaining disciplined to avoid disciplinary trouble.
Of course, it was a difficult match. Karpaty is a good team that deserves attention. The game turned out to be tough. There is nothing to add — thank God we won. We move on. Taras Mykhavko
Mykhavko dismissed the suggestion that the game became easier following the opponent's red card, pointing out that the tension remained high until the very end. The defender maintained that regardless of the opponent, every match requires maximum effort and a combative mindset.
Dynamo Kyiv now turns its attention to the next round, where they are set to face Polissya Zhytomyr in an away fixture.
