Sporting secures comeback victory over Galatasaray in Champions League

Sporting CP began their Champions League campaign with a strong comeback victory, defeating Galatasaray 3-1 in Lisbon.

The visitors took an early lead in the 5th minute when Lucas Torreira smashed the ball into the net after a rebound from an initial header by Davinson Sanchez.

The hosts equalized in the 27th minute through Geny Catamo, who found the near corner during a scramble in the box. In the second half, Sporting capitalized on their momentum as Luis Suarez converted a penalty in the 57th minute, followed by a Rodrigo Salazar strike in the 63rd minute to seal the 3-1 scoreline.
