Sporting CP agree deal for Australian talent Nestory Irankunda
The Portuguese side will pay over 18 million euros in total for the promising winger, who joins on a five-year deal.

Sporting CP have reached a full agreement for the signing of promising Australian winger Nestory Irankunda from English club Watford. According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is at the final stages of completion.
The transfer fee is set at 15 million euros fixed, with additional performance-related bonuses potentially pushing the total value of the package beyond 18 million euros. Irankunda is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Lisbon-based side.
Last season, the youngster made 40 club appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists. He also represented the Australian national team at the 2026 World Cup, where he scored his country's first goal of the tournament against Turkey.
The player is now set to travel to Lisbon to undergo medical examinations before officially signing his contract. Legal details regarding a sell-on clause between Watford and Bayern Munich have also been resolved.
