Scotland women's head coach Melissa Andreatta has named her squad for the upcoming Women's World Cup round one play-off against the Czech Republic, featuring the return of Liverpool midfielder Sam Kerr and Newcastle forward Martha Thomas for the first time in nearly a year.
The two-legged tie begins with the away fixture in Pardubice on 9 October, followed by the return leg at St Mirren Park four days later. The winners of this series will progress to a final play-off round against either Sweden or Lithuania, with a spot in next summer's tournament in Brazil on the line.
Kerr has yet to feature under Andreatta, having last played for her country in February 2025. Meanwhile, Thomas returns to the international fold after hitting her 50-cap milestone last October. The squad also welcomes back Freya Gregory, Sophie Howard, and Celtic's Maria McAneny, bolstering the side as they aim to reach their first major tournament since the 2019 World Cup.
Defenders Leah Eddie and Kenzie Weir, along with strikers Eilidh Adams and Laura Berry, have been left out of the selection. Scotland enters the play-offs following an unbeaten qualifying campaign where they topped their group on goal difference over Belgium.
