French giants OL Lyonnes have officially confirmed the signing of Spain international forward Salma Paralluelo on a four-year contract that runs until 2030. The 22-year-old arrives as a free agent following her departure from Barcelona in June after failed contract negotiations.

This move marks the former sprinter's first professional spell outside of Spain. In France, she will reunite with manager Jonatan Giraldez, who oversaw her most prolific campaign during the 2023-24 season, where she recorded 34 goals and seven assists. Over four seasons in Catalonia, Paralluelo scored 72 goals in 131 appearances and secured 14 major honours, including three UEFA Women's Champions League titles and four league crowns.

Paralluelo's arrival highlights OL Lyonnes' aggressive recruitment strategy as they aim to assemble a squad capable of European dominance. She joins other high-profile summer additions including Caroline Weir, Maria Luisa Grohs, and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd. She is expected to be a central figure in the Lyonnes frontline for the 2026-27 campaign.

The forward is scheduled to report for pre-season training on July 27, with her official public unveiling following four days later. Interestingly, Paralluelo ended her Barcelona career by scoring twice against her new club in the Women's Champions League final.
