Ryan Giggs tips Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo to reach Paul Scholes' level

Speaking on his analysis of the performance, Giggs noted: "It’s not pace, it’s acceleration. So, he’s not quick-quick, but he has got that acceleration, and he’s, you know, strong physically. He’s a very, very good player."

Giggs specifically highlighted Mainoo's potential to develop a passing range comparable to that of Paul Scholes. He suggested that if the midfielder adds elite forward passing to his existing repertoire of dribbling and short passing, he could reach a significantly higher level.

The former winger also acknowledged the difficulty of the task for a young player learning the game at the highest level. Giggs sympathized with Mainoo's exhaustion in the final stages of the match, where the midfielder continued to attempt the right actions despite running low on energy.
