Rinat Akhmetov: I am convinced that Ukraine will prevail
The president of the "Miners" commented on his visit to the UEFA headquarters and meeting with the UEFA president.

Shakhtar Donetsk president Rinat Akhmetov visited the UEFA headquarters in Nyon. The visit marked the club's 90th anniversary and Akhmetov's 30th year as president. During the event, he received a commemorative award from UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin.
Reflecting on his previous meeting with Ceferin five years ago, Akhmetov noted how much has changed for the club and the country since then. He recalled that for Shakhtar, the war began back in 2014 when the team lost their home city and the Donbas Arena.

The president expressed his admiration for the resilience of the Ukrainian people and the strength of the Ukrainian army. He reaffirmed his belief that despite the difficulties of the war, the country will continue its fight for freedom, independence, and sovereignty.
