Real Madrid announce signing of Denzel Dumfries
The Dutch defender will continue his career at the Madrid club until the summer of 2030.
Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of right-back Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan. The Spanish club reached a full agreement with the Milan side regarding the transfer.
The Dutchman has signed a contract that will run until June 30, 2030. Dumfries will spend the next four seasons with Real Madrid, becoming a key addition ahead of the new football year. Financial terms of the transfer have not been disclosed.
Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho played a key role in the move. The Portuguese manager personally wanted the player in his squad and fully approved his candidacy to strengthen the right side of the defense.
During the 2025/26 season, Dumfries made 28 appearances in all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists. Notably, the defender netted twice in the Champions League and helped Inter secure a double.
