26-year-old Japanese winger Daisuke Yokota has officially joined Rangers on a three-year deal, which includes an option for an additional year. He becomes the Ibrox side's ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
Yokota brings a wealth of European experience, having played in Germany, Latvia with Valmiera, Poland with Gornik Zabrze, and Belgium with Gent. His most recent spell saw him join Hannover permanently following a productive stint in the German second tier.
I'm really excited to be joining Rangers. This is a massive club with a fantastic history, passionate supporters and high ambitions so it's a proud moment for me. My aim is to help the team achieve success this season and I hope we can create some special memories together. Daisuke Yokota
Manager Derek McInnes highlighted the player's direct style and quickness as key attributes that will bolster the team's attacking options. The addition comes at a crucial time for Rangers, who were looking to reinforce their wide areas following the departure of winger Mikey Moore back to his parent club.
