Rangers close in on Godfrey as MLS clubs chase Hearts midfielder

Atalanta defender Ben Godfrey is nearing a move to Rangers. The 28-year-old has reportedly passed a medical and is set to join the Glasgow side on loan, with an option to buy included in the deal.
Rangers remain busy in the transfer market, currently in talks with Hull City for goalkeeper Ivor Pandur, while Manchester United's Radek Vitek is also under consideration. Meanwhile, French club Rennes has listed defender Emmanuel Fernandez as a potential target, and Real Betis are reportedly confident of securing midfielder Nicolas Raskin.
Elsewhere in the Scottish Premiership, the future of Hearts midfielder Cammy Devlin is a major talking point. With his contract expiring, Devlin has been offered a new deal at Tynecastle, but MLS clubs Real Salt Lake, Chicago Fire, and Seattle Sounders are all tracking the midfielder.
In other news, Celtic face competition for Borussia Dortmund winger Cole Campbell from newly-promoted Bundesliga side Elversberg. Additionally, Roma have been linked with Celtic midfielder Arne Engels, while Mark O'Hara has opted to leave St Mirren for a return to Kilmarnock.
