Raffaele Palladino: Artem Dovbyk must give more in training

Bologna head coach Raffaele Palladino has addressed why Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk was left out of the matchday squad for the Serie A clash against Cagliari, which ended in a 2-0 victory. The manager emphasized that the forward needs to raise his intensity levels during training sessions.

Palladino explained that team selection in the attacking line is currently subject to physical management. He noted the need to monitor the workload for Enema, who has been managing a tendon issue, and praised Odgaard for showing the dynamic form that earned him a place in the squad.

Artem must give his all, press, and contribute more in the training process. Odgaard played because he showed excellent dynamics and deserved it. Artem needs to give me more. Raffaele Palladino

Dovbyk, who returned after a hamstring injury in September that sidelined him from international duty, has made only one appearance since his recovery—a substitute cameo in Bologna's 3-1 defeat to Inter. The team's next fixture is scheduled against Milan on October 28th.
