Pumas players lash out at officiating after Nathan Silva's red card
Pumas players severely questioned referee Guillermo Pacheco following the early dismissal of defender Nathan Silva during their loss to Santos Laguna.

Pumas players expressed severe frustration with referee Guillermo Pacheco following their 2-0 away defeat to Santos Laguna. The atmosphere in the dressing room was tense after the decision to send off defender Nathan Silva in just the second minute of the match, a call the players believe conditioned the entire result.
Cesar 'Chino' Huerta did not hide his annoyance when asked about playing with ten men for almost the entire game: "At minute 1, you can't call that, but it is what it is... In the end, everything balances out," the Mexican forward stated firmly.
Nathan Silva, who received the red card for the foul that also led to the penalty, offered his perspective on the incident: "They conditioned the match. For me, it's not a penalty, it's not a red card. The referee made that decision," the Brazilian central defender asserted.
Despite the controversy, Silva praised his teammates for their effort: "I want to congratulate the boys for their commitment and the fight; they ran a lot with one man less. We had a great chance to leave here with three points if it had been 11 against 11."
The Pumas squad left the stadium without further comment to return to Mexico City. The team will look to quickly turn the page and focus on their next Liga MX match against Tigres at the Estadio Olimpico Universitario.
