PSG Offer €120 Million Plus Players for Julian Alvarez
The Parisian club has entered the race for Atletico forward Julian Alvarez, proposing a significant transfer package.
French giants PSG have launched a major move for Atletico forward Julian Alvarez. The Parisian club is looking to secure the 26-year-old World Cup winner, challenging Barcelona, who were previously considered the frontrunners for his signature.
Reports indicate that PSG has already initiated contact with the player's camp. The Ligue 1 side has presented a substantial offer to the Madrid club, consisting of €120 million in cash alongside two players in exchange for Alvarez.
Should the deal go through, the Argentine is set to earn €22 million per year, which would establish him as one of the highest-paid members of the PSG squad.
This move highlights PSG's intent to overhaul their attacking options. Meanwhile, the direct competition with Barcelona adds a layer of intensity to the negotiations, as both clubs vie for the forward's services.
Alvarez is currently under contract with the Spanish side until June 2030, which gives Atletico significant leverage in negotiations. The forward has been highly productive this season, recording 20 goals and nine assists in 49 appearances.
