French giants PSG are working on a deal to sign a new central defender during the current summer transfer window, according to insider Fabrizio Romano.
The Paris club currently has four center-backs on its books: William Pacho, Marquinhos, Lucas Beraldo, and Illia Zabarnyi.
The Ukrainian defender joined the Parisian side last August from English club Bournemouth in a deal worth 63 million euros. Since arriving, Zabarnyi has made 37 appearances and scored one goal.
While he was a regular starter at the beginning of the season, his playing time has since diminished, and he has completed only one full match in the Champions League. Reports previously suggested that PSG had discussed the possibility of a transfer for Zabarnyi, including interest from Liverpool.
