Phil Parkinson refuses to confirm Wrexham links with Matias Moreno

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has refused to be drawn into speculation surrounding a potential deal for defender Matias Moreno. Reports had suggested that the Championship side had reached an agreement with Italian club Fiorentina for the 22-year-old Argentine.

The club is currently preparing for its second season in the Championship, with the coaching staff focusing on building upon last year's performance after narrowly missing out on the play-offs. Parkinson indicated that any further additions to the squad would only be made if they are deemed capable of genuinely improving the group.

Wrexham opened their pre-season campaign with a goalless draw against Polish side Wisla Krakow. The team now looks ahead to a series of high-profile friendlies, including a match against Manchester United in Helsinki, followed by games in the United States against Leeds United, Liverpool, and Sunderland.
