Pablo Durán sidelined for three months after shoulder surgery
Celta forward Pablo Durán has undergone successful shoulder surgery and will miss the entire pre-season period.
Celta forward Pablo Durán has successfully undergone surgery on his left shoulder. The procedure was performed at the Fremap Hospital in Vigo by Dr. Domingo Carpintero, with assistance from the club's medical chief, Dr. Cota.
The player had been managing an injury to the same area since December 7, when he suffered a fall during a match at the Santiago Bernabéu. Despite the discomfort, Durán completed the first half of that game and finished the season wearing a protective brace before deciding to undergo surgery to address the persistent instability.
The recovery process is estimated to take approximately three months. Consequently, Durán will miss the entire pre-season camp starting July 6 at the Afouteza Sports City. His participation in the opening matches of the LaLiga season is highly unlikely, with a return to action projected for early September, depending on his rehabilitation progress.
