Nottingham Forest in advanced talks to sign Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz

Nottingham Forest are in advanced negotiations to sign Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz. The deal for the Colombia international is expected to be worth up to £25 million.

Munoz has emerged as a key late target for the club. Talks have accelerated significantly in recent days following Crystal Palace's 4-1 defeat by Manchester City this past Friday.

The defender arrived at Palace from Belgian side Genk in 2024 and has been a central figure for the Eagles over the past few seasons. Despite having nearly two years remaining on his current contract, Palace are prepared to facilitate a sale this summer.

The move is linked to the club's squad planning, as Crystal Palace recently signed Israel international Anan Khalaili from Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. Khalaili is expected to step into the role vacated by Munoz within Pierre Sage's squad.
