Newcastle sign Amar Dedic from Benfica for £30m

Newcastle United have officially completed the signing of defender Amar Dedic from Benfica. The deal is reported to be worth approximately £30 million.

The 24-year-old, who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, has signed a five-year contract with the club. Dedic completed his medical examination on Tyneside on Monday.

This move marks a reunion with manager Matthias Jaissle. The pair previously worked together at Red Bull Salzburg, where they secured the Austrian title in 2023.
