Newcastle reach agreement for Ajax midfielder Sean Stear
The English club has reached a verbal agreement to sign Sean Stear. The deal is worth 24 million euros plus bonuses.

Premier League side Newcastle have reached a verbal agreement with Ajax for the transfer of one of the Netherlands' most promising young talents, Sean Stear.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is fully agreed upon, and the 18-year-old midfielder is set to undergo a medical examination in the near future. The transfer fee is set at a guaranteed 24 million euros, with an additional 3 million euros in performance-related add-ons.
The agreement between the two clubs was reached late at night, allowing both parties to move forward with the final administrative steps. Once the medical is successfully completed, the English club is expected to announce the signing formally.
During the previous campaign, the young midfielder made 25 appearances, contributing one goal and two assists. This signing represents a significant investment in the club's future squad development.
